Review:
Rogaine doesn't need an introduction. It is a household name. It is the biggest selling hair loss product for men for as long as we can remember. And of course, there is Rogaine for Women, which is almost as big in the female market. But how does Rogaine for Women stack up to the rest? Is it really as good as we assume? Or is it just clever marketing behind an average product? Well let's take a closer look.
Results:
Unlike our top 2 treatments, Rogaine for women is a simple topical treatment only. There is no oral treatment to be taken in conjuction. As a result, Rogaine is a weaker treatment for less serious cases of female hair loss. Furthermore, Rogaine for women requires continued usage. This means, there is no end to the treatment. Once you stop using the product, the hair loss is likely to continue.
That being said, the results for Rogaine are not too bad. Many women with mild hair loss will be happy to see their hair loss hault, with a little regrowth within the first 6 months of treatment. It may take 8-10 months to see the most regrowth. Once as many hair follicles have sprouted as possible, there will be very little more to grow. However, you can maintain the growth already seen by continuing the treatment. Once treatment is ceased however, be prepared for the hair loss to slowly continue.
Final Word:
Rogaine is good, without being great. Good enough to put it above the average treatment, but not great enough to produce results as good as our first two choices, Provillus and Profollica. Continued treatment is a real deal-breaker for some. And the fact that it is not as powerful is another concern. All of that said however, and Rogaine is still a worthy top 3 product for female hair loss with it's regrowth potential and performance in women with less serious hair loss.
Suggested Usage:
Rogaine is a foam, applied once or twice daily in your hair. Continued usage is essential. Once the product is no longer applied, the hair loss may continue.
